Research in the Vancouver General Hospital ICU
Through research, we are able to gain the knowledge to improve outcomes for our critically ill patients. We have been conducting research in the ICU since 1991 and over the years have both led and participated in many studies. These studies range from local, single-center observational studies to large multi-center randomized controlled trials.
Canadian Critical Care Trials Group
The VGH ICU research group is a member of the Canadian Critical Care Trials Group, a pan-Canadian partnership of multi-disciplinary, inter-professional researchers dedicated to the pursuit of excellence and advancement of critical care research in Canada.
