Cardiac ultrasound or echocardiography procedures use ultrasound to create an image of the heart to help doctors diagnose, monitor and treat heart conditions.
What to expect
Cardiac ultrasounds take moving pictures of your heart using a microphone-shaped device called a transducer. No radiation is used during the procedure.
