Mental health tertiary services

Our tertiary mental health services provide specialized care to meet the needs of individuals with serious and persistent mental illness who have not been successfully treated by other programs.

What mental health services are available?

Our tertiary services include:

  • Assessment, treatment services focusing on diagnosis, stabilization of acute symptoms not resolved in other settings
  • Rehabilitation, stabilization services focusing on psychosocial rehabilitation, recovery in a specialized setting with a longer length of stay than secondary, primary services

Who's eligible?

Services may have restrictions related to age or residency. The needs of adult and geriatric clients are addressed separately.

Is there any cost for these services?

These services are free-of-charge.

How do I access tertiary services?

You can access this service with a referral made by a health care practitioner through Tertiary Mental Health & Addictions Services Central Access & Discharge. You can call them at (604) 714-3771, local 2270 or fax to 1 (888) 857-0371.
