Shaping the future of health care on the Sunshine Coast

We humbly acknowledge that the land on which Sechelt | shíshálh Hospital is located is the traditional and unceded territory of the shíshálh Nation.

As part of our ongoing commitment to the delivery of safe, quality care at Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), we are launching Health Vision Sechelt | shíshálh Hospital, a high-level planning process for  Sechelt | shíshálh Hospital campus.

Health Vision Sechelt | shíshálh Hospital will consider all clinical services, including mental health and substance use services, on-campus long-term care, laboratory medicine, medical imaging services, as well as non-clinical supporting services (parking, housekeeping, food services, laundry, etc.).

Once completed, Health Vision Sechelt | shíshálh Hospital will help ensure health-care services within the campus remain aligned with the evolving health-care needs of the local community and broader Sunshine Coast.

Share your input by completing the Health Vision Sechelt | shíshálh Hospital Phase 1 survey

Health Vision Sechelt | shíshálh Hospital will be informed through an inclusive engagement process that will allow us to hear directly from communities we serve as well as the people who care for these communities.

Your input will be considered to help develop Health Vision Sechelt | shíshálh Hospital, which will help guide the delivery of health services at the Sechelt | shíshálh Hospital for the next 30 years and beyond.

Anyone living or working on the Sunshine Coast is invited to complete the online survey or subscribe to updates. In addition to the survey, there will be other opportunities to learn about  the planning process.

The Sunshine Coast is a growing part of the VCH service delivery area.
