Find answers to the most common questions about the hiring process and job opportunities.
I have applied to an internal posting and did not receive a confirmation. Who should I contact?
Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org quoting the job requisition number and three-letter extension of the position you are applying to, and one of our associates will confirm if your application has been received.
I am experiencing technical issues when attempting to apply to a job posting. What should I do?
VCH utilizes iCIMS software for the application portion of our online process. If you experience technical issues, please contact iCIMS: email@example.com.
If you have previously created a profile, please login here to view or edit past applications or apply for another position.
I have forgotten my login name and/or password.
- Visit the iCIMS login page: Log in
- Enter your email address and follow the prompts to reset your password.
How do I submit a different cover letter and/or resume for each job posting that I am applying to?
We recommend you use a generic resume (to the attention of ‘Talent Acquisition’) when setting up your VCH Profile as the system only allows for one cover letter and one resume to be uploaded to your profile. In the career application system, the most recently uploaded cover letter and/or resume will automatically override the existing one.
How will I know if I have been shortlisted for a position?
If you are shortlisted for a position, you will be contacted either by phone or email to arrange next steps.
Beware: Fraudulent Recruitment Scams posing as Vancouver Coastal Health in your application journey.
It has come to our attention that fake recruitment programs are using the name of Vancouver Coastal Health, or claiming to be a recruitment service posting positions on behalf of Vancouver Coastal Health, in order to extract money from people in need of employment. These types of job postings and offers, and their association with Vancouver Coastal Health, are NOT legitimate. VCH does not use any third-party recruitment services to fill physician, nurses, allied health professionals, or any other vacancies within VCH. DO NOT exchange any money with someone offering positions, placements or seminars claiming to be in relation to Vancouver Coastal Health. In addition, do not give any personal information such as passport numbers or driver’s license numbers as this may result in identity theft.
Please note our domain name is “@vch.ca,” and NOT “@vchh.ca” or any other variation. Any emails coming from “@vchh.ca” or any other variation are fraudulent and should be reported immediately to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Which school and/or course should I attend?
Please note that VCH does not endorse individual post-secondary educational facilities. Vancouver Coastal Health recognizes all accredited schools.
