Adelaide Ambers, Community Care Assistant
Today we are excited to highlight Adelaide Ambers, a community care assistant working in Pemberton and has been part of the Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) team since 2004!
“I really enjoy being a light in someone’s day,” she says. “Working in the beautiful community in Pemberton lets me connect with the locals here.”
Adelaide recalls an inspirational moment with a palliative care client. “As a First Nation, he asked me for spiritual guidance at the end of his life.”
With the team growing and VCH adding local area supervisors in the Sea to Sky corridor, the team is set up well to provide exceptional care for clients. In addition, Adelaide says she feels supported through the offering of online courses to grow and strengthen her skills set.
