Managing the dental needs of the medically complex dental patient who can not safely be treated in a community setting. Duties include providing dental care and consultations in the outpatient clinic setting, on the wards, in the operating theatre as well as during after hours on call. Clinical teaching of dental residents, participating in research and administrative duties as assigned by the department head are also essential. Successful candidates should have completed a dental residency training program or have relevant experience working in a hospital setting.  

Services include restorations, dental surgery, orthodontics, facial pain, biopsies, cancer screening, dentures, root canal treatment and crown and bridge fabrication.

Licensure in BC

In order to practice in British Columbia, you must be licensed. Oral health professionals must be registered with the BC College of Oral Health Professionals (BCCOHP).
