Where you'll work
Explore a world of opportunities in mental health and substance use services with Vancouver Coastal Health. We're inviting passionate psychiatrists to join our diverse and dynamic team. Your expertise and dedication will significantly contribute to the following areas:
Emergency and Crisis Response
Engage in Crisis Intervention Services, Emergency Response Programs (Car 22 & Car 87), and Psychiatric Crisis and Emergency Services to offer immediate support in acute mental health situations.
Specialized Inpatient and Outpatient Services
Work in the BC Psychosis Program, Neuropsychiatry Program, and the Mood Disorders Centre to provide specialized care for complex psychiatric conditions.
Substance Use and Addiction Services
Participate in Addiction Medicine, the Anne Vogel Clinic, and the Stepping Stones Concurrent Disorders Service, focusing on addiction treatment and recovery.
Community-Based and Home Care
Contribute to Acute Home-Based Treatment (AHBT) and the STEPS Mental Health Rehabilitation Program, supporting patients in their homes or community settings.
Child, Adolescent, and Family Services
Shape the future through Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, Early Childhood Mental Health Services, and Youth Concurrent Disorders Services, catering to the unique needs of younger populations.
Early Intervention and Rehabilitation
Get involved in Early Psychosis Intervention, Cognitive Assessment and Rehabilitation for Substance Use Program, and Transitions Concurrent Disorders Program, focusing on early recognition and holistic rehabilitation.
Concurrent Disorders
Address complex cases in the Concurrent Disorders Intervention Unit, offering integrated care for those with dual diagnoses.
Geriatric Psychiatry
Specialize in Geriatric Assessment Services, providing comprehensive care for the elderly with psychiatric conditions.
General Adult Psychiatry
Join Adult Health Teams and the Regional ADHD Clinic to address a broad range of mental health issues in adults, enhancing their overall well-being.
