Program details
The ESRT program is a unique employment opportunity for respiratory therapy students. These supernumerary positions provide ESRTs with 90 hours of paid experience to learn in a real-life healthcare environment, share their knowledge with different healthcare team members, and bring new energy to all the areas participating in the program.
ESRT positions are available at Vancouver General Hospital (VGH), Lions Gate Hospital, and Richmond Hospital. Both 12-hour and 8-hour shifts are offered. This position pays $26.54/hour.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of Level 1 of clinical placement and continued enrollment in an accredited and recognized Respiratory Therapy Program, plus certification in Basic Life Support or equivalent.
- Have completed Level 1 at VGH, or are a current Level 2 student at VGH
