The Evergreen House is a three-storey, 284-bed long-term care facility built in 1971, which includes transitional care unit beds and landscaped gardens. It is located on the Lions Gate Hospital campus.

When you connect with the home and community care office, a Home Health clinician will help you determine eligibility and if appropriate, arrange to conduct a health needs assessment.

Features
Room and building: Complex care. Total number of beds – 284. 60 four bed rooms - total 240 beds. 11 semi-private rooms - total 22 beds. 22 private rooms - total 22 beds. Close to Lions Gate Hospital, Lonsdale Avenue that offers a variety of shops, banks, and services. On site hair salon, tuck shop and covered outdoor patios on each resident floor.
Language, culture, religious affiliations: Individual language, cultural, spiritual and religious beliefs are respected. Ministers and registered volunteers from many faith traditions are available to be called to visit residents on request. Spiritual care is available at EGH at this time in certain languages, depending on availability.
Special recreation opportunities: Daily recreational activities.
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible. Motorized scooter policy. Motorized or electrical power chairs are allowed.
Safety and security : Security guards patrol Evergreen House, Wanderguard system, keyed pad entry after 7:00 p.m.
