Connections has temporarily paused intakes for new clients.

Downtown Eastside (DTES) Connections is a low-barrier addictions clinic serving those with opioid use disorder who may find barriers using other addiction services. This clinic offers rapid access to oral opioid agonist treatments. This service offers rapid access to oral opioid agonist treatments (OAT) and connection to other services including bed-based substance-use treatment programs, mental health and primary care. Programming is transitional with the goal of stabilization then transfer to appropriate community-based health services.

How to access

  • Check eligibility

    Individuals living or regularly interacting within the DTES and have a history of opioid use disorder. Do not have a family doctor currently offering opiate agonist treatment.

  • Get a referral

    A referral is required.

Addiction Medicine

Addiction medicine includes clinical assessments, consultations, treatment planning and aftercare for people struggling with substances such as alcohol and opioids.
