Cardiac ultrasound or echocardiography procedures use ultrasound to create an image of the heart to help doctors diagnose, monitor and treat heart conditions.

How to access

  • Get a referral

    Have your physician complete the Medical Imaging requisition form.

  • Book an appointment

    By appointment only. The department clerk will contact patients to book the appointment. 

    Call (604) 827-5371 to change or cancel an appointment.

We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

The Emergency Department is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. Visiting hours may vary depending on the unit. Please call the UBC Hospital main line at (604) 822-7121 to determine visiting times before your visit.
