    If you or someone you know is interested in receiving home and community care services, call the access line contact information in your area. 

    When you connect with the home and community care office, a Home Health clinician will help you determine eligibility and if appropriate, arrange to conduct a health needs assessment.

Room and building: A total of 114 long-term beds including 54 private rooms, 13 semi-private rooms, and 7 multi-person rooms. Swimming pool, recreation rooms, and family rooms can be booked for overnight stays from families out of area. 

Special recreation opportunities: Onsite swimming program, wheelchair-accessible vans for outreach activities, music therapy.

Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible. A high percentage of residents use power chairs. All residents use either power or manual wheelchairs.

Safety and security: 24/7 on-site security

Neighbourhood and community amenities: Close to bus, Canada line access, Oakridge Centre nearby.

Built in 1952, Oak Care Centre (formerly George Pearson Centre) is located in a 7.7 hectare park-like setting. Resident amenities are ground floor, with the exception of the Stan Stronge pool, which has an elevator to access.
