Mental health outpatient services provide assessment, consultation and time-limited group therapy treatment for adults ages 19 and up.
About Mental Health & Substance Use Outpatient Services at Vancouver General Hospital (VGH)
Clients of this program will typically work with a multidisciplinary team. Services provided will reflect the care needs of the person. The services may include:
- One-to-one time limited support that provides counselling for individuals aged 19 and over who have made a suicide attempt, are currently suicidal, or have suicidal ideation.
- Groups therapy: Time limited, access to drop-in groups and session based group therapy.
- Psychiatric consultation: time limited support and expert guidance with comprehensive evaluation to determine treatment plan and treatment goals.
