The Mood Disorders Clinic, offered through UBC Mood Disorders Centre – Research, Education, Awareness, and Care Hub (MDC REACH) at the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health, provides a consultation clinic focusing on depression and bipolar disorders, in which patients receive careful assessment, diagnosis, and treatment recommendations.

How to access

  • Check eligibility

    ​We provide consultation and assessments for adults with mood disorders, primarily within the Vancouver Coastal Health region (Vancouver, North Shore, Richmond, and the Sunshine Coast).

    Outside this region, we limit referrals to psychiatrists or community mental health teams requesting a second opinion after six months of a prior psychiatric assessment.

    Referrals are made by Family Physicians,psychiatrists, and other specialists.
