Nuclear Medicine is a specialty of medicine that uses radioactive materials to diagnose and treat diseases. An examination involves administering radioactive material via intravenous injection, inhalation or ingestion.

How to access

  • Get a referral

    Have your physician complete the Medical Imaging requisition form.

  • Book an appointment

    By appointment only. The department clerk will contact patients to book the appointment. 

    Call (604) 875-5369 to change or cancel an appointment.

  • Language offered

    English -- an interpreter must accompany patients who do not speak fluent English or the exam may be cancelled.
