Visiting long-term care homes
Learn about what to expect when visiting long-term care homes.
All visitors are welcome in long-term care and seniors’ assisted living in the VCH region. Mandatory requirements related to COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses have now been lifted. Therefore:
- Proof of vaccination is no longer required from visitors
- Symptom screening of visitors is no longer required
- Rapid testing of visitors is no longer required
- Masks are no longer required to be worn by staff or visitors, except if required under existing (pre-pandemic) infection control guidelines
