Neuromusculoskeletal Outpatient Program

The outpatient team provides time-limited, goal-oriented outpatient assessment and intervention. 

This program is limited to residents of Vancouver Coastal Health and the Yukon. Due to the volume of referrals, we are not able to treat clients who have been treated previously for the same goals without a new medical event.  This program accepts clients under the age of 65, our colleagues at Holy Family Rehabilitation review referrals for clients who are 55 yrs or older. Clients between the ages of 55-65 may be reviewed by either site.   We do not accept clients who have coverage through ICBC or Worksafe.

The core team members may include a physiatrist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, social worker, speech-language pathologist and recreation therapist. Referral to other services, including nursing, dietitian, vocational rehab, psychology and assistive technology, may be completed.

Physical therapist and occupational services are provided via a student-led clinic model.
