Child and Youth Mental Health and Substance Use Teams serve children, youth and their families with serious mental health difficulties and/or social, emotional or behavioural disturbances.

Walk-In intake services

An intake appointment is your first appointment with the Vancouver Child and Youth Mental Health and Substance Use Teams. If you are unable to attend intake during the walk-in hours at the clinic designated for your home address, please visit one of the following child and youth mental health and substance use clinics during their walk-in hours:

Northeast Community Health Centre

  • Walk-in Intake hours: Mondays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Wednesdays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

What to expect

Our child and youth clinics and programs of mental health professionals provide services including:

  • assessment and referral to appropriate services,
  • connecting with resources,
  • consultation,
  • therapy, psychiatry, groups and
  • education.

We are sensitive to the diversity of all families and have access to interpreters as needed. Our services are free-of-charge and voluntary.
