Health Career Access Program (HCAP)
Earn while you learn through HCAP - 100% Employer Paid Education and Training
Get paid to learn and having a job waiting for you as soon as your training is done with the Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) Health Career Access Program (HCAP). As long as you've completed Grade 10 in high school – including English 10 or equivalent – and have a valid driver's license, you can apply for this program which offers an easy-entry, financially supported start to long-term career growth opportunities across VCH.

Education series schedule
Nurse educators from the VCH LTC and AL Professional Practice Team are in the process of creating brand new online education sessions for HCSWs and HCSW support staff who work in LTC or AL. Some of the topics we will be discussing include:
- Infection Control Basics
- End-of-Life Care
- Sexual and Gender Diversity
- Person-Centered Care
- Dementia Care
- Supportive Communication Techniques
These sessions will begin in late spring 2022 so stay tuned for an updated education series schedule!
