VCH Whistler Health Care Centre

Whistler Health Care Centre

Whistler Health Care Centre is a busy diagnostic and treatment centre that serves up to 140 patients a day in the busiest season. It is also an emergency and ambulatory care centre. Our staff specialize in treating sports-related injuries, as well as stabilizing trauma and critical care patients for transfer to Lower Mainland hospitals. The Centre has no overnight stay capacity but does have an on-call system. Medical care in Whistler is augmented by general medical practices.

Pemberton Health Centre

Pemberton Health Centre

Pemberton Health Centre is a smaller diagnostic and treatment centre staffed by resident general practitioners and registered nurses who serve small population pockets spread out over a wide area. There is no inpatient stay capacity and the emergency nurses operate on an on-call system where they are “RN first call” certified. Serious conditions are stabilized and transported via air or road ambulance to Lower Mainland hospitals. It is also an emergency and ambulatory care centre.
