We welcome international candidates
Looking to apply as a trained international health-care professional or Medical staff? To work in B.C. as a non-Canadian citizen or non-Canadian permanent resident, you will require a valid work permit. For many professions, obtaining a work permit or work visa and licensing registration is an independent process that can take place concurrently. Learn more about the process and opportunities around the BC Provincial Nominee Program (for priority professions).
The Province is also taking new steps to attract more doctors and nurses from the U.S. They are working with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC, plus the BC College of Nurses and Midwives to make it faster and easier for these groups to work in B.C.
