Mental health services

    • Access and Assessment Centre

      The Access and Assessment Centre is here to help you, your family member or your friend during non-life-threatening mental health and substance use issues.

    • Youth and adults 17+ years (Segal Centre)

      Focused on clients who require longer-term, intensive treatment to return to their community. The length of stay is approximately five to 12 days.

    • Child and Adolescent Response Team

      The Child & Adolescent Response Team (CART) provides an urgent response (within 72 hours), and short-term mental health service to school-aged children and youth who are experiencing acute psychiatric or emotional crises.

Substance use services

    • ACCESS Central

      A phone line providing access to withdrawal management (detox). Adults who live in the VCH region and seek withdrawal-management services receive immediate screening by health-care workers.

    • Substance Use Treatment and Response Team

      Provides first-line treatment options to individuals requiring help to withdraw from, or stabilize their substance use and who can do so safely, with support, in the community.

    • Rapid Access Addiction Clinic at St. Paul's Hospital

      Aims to provide a safe space where patients can get specialized addiction medicine service and care.

    • DTES Connections Clinic

      A low-barrier addictions clinic serving those with opioid use disorder who may find barriers using other addiction services.
