UBC Hospital (UBCH) opened in 1981 and is now dedicated to providing sub-acute medical and surgical care.  Specialty areas at UBCH include emergency services, sub-acute medicine and slow-stream rehabilitation, general surgery, reconstructive orthopaedic surgery, brain disorders, psychiatry,  gerontology, sleep disorders and bladder care.

UBC Hospital is comprised of three buildings:

  • Koerner Pavilion - the main hospital building
  • Purdy Pavilion​ - located to the left and behind Koerner Pavilion, distinguished by its red panels
  • Detwiller Pavilion
