Contracted services and procurement
Vancouver Coastal Health often partners with third party organizations and companies to deliver goods and services to patients, clients, and communities across the region. As a publicly funded entity, VCH must comply with trade agreements and procurement guidelines when contracting these partners.
To determine whether we need to go through a competitive procurement process, we look at a variety of factors. These might include: type of service; service delivery models; number of potential service providers; and whether the value of a service exceeds $75,000 over the contract term.
Benefits to conducting a competitive procurement process include:
-
A wider selection of service options
-
Fairness and transparency in both bids and the bidding process
-
More innovative and cost-effective solutions to address the service need
New VCH contract database
VCH recently launched our new Contract Lifecycle Management System (CLMS), which has a portal specifically for service providers!
You can use the supplier portal to:
- Find records of both active and past contracts, including funding letters and payment schedules;
- Negotiate and sign your contract;
- Upload deliverables in order to comply with your contract’s terms and conditions; and
- Update your organization or company’s profile.
The portal is most compatible with Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.
Resources for current suppliers
To support you in delivering services safely and responsibly, we have resources available in three main categories: Facilities Standards, Procurement, and Contracted Services. These resources are created for a general audience – if you need support on your contract specifically, please reach out to your VCH contract manager.
