Early childhood mental health services provide treatment and support to families concerned about their child's ability to manage emotional, social and behavioural areas of development.
Early childhood mental health programs provide interdisciplinary behavioural and mental health assessment and treatment services for children. We treat children with a wide range of behavioural issues as well as parenting concerns, including:
- attachment
- parent-child relationship concerns
- aggressive behaviours
- separation anxiety
- social anxiety, and much more

What to expect
The comprehensive assessment and treatment is done with the family and reaches out to other community partners the child may be involved with. Services are provided by a multi-disciplinary team.

If you live in the Coast or on the North Shore, support is available from the Child and Youth Mental Health Intake Clinics operated by the Ministry of Children and Family Development. Indigenous-specific support is also available through the First Nations Health Authority or the local First Nation within the community.
